Have you been working as an SEN Teaching Assistant and are looking for a step up?
Reed Education is currently supporting a specialist SEN school in Croydon in their search for an enthusiastic HLTA. As a HLTA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting teaching and learning within the school.
Day-to-day of the role:
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, ensuring their educational needs are met.
Covering classes when required.
Assist teachers in lesson delivery and adapt materials to suit individual learning requirements.
Provide necessary physical and personal care to students, as needed.
Monitor and document student progress, sharing updates with teachers and parents.
Engage in team meetings and commit to ongoing professional development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Have experience working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Real passion for working with children in education.
Proven experience working with students with SEN, in either a paid or voluntary capacity.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
A patient, supportive, and nurturing approach to student development.
