SEN Home Tutor

Job Description:

Are you a dedicated and qualified teacher with a passion for helping students excel in their studies? We are seeking a Home Tutor with expertise in KS3 and KS4, teaching Maths, English and additional subjects. Whether you prefer full-time or part-time hours, this role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the academic success of our students in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional one-on-one tutoring sessions to students, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the subject matter.
  • Develop customised lesson plans and teaching materials that align with the national curriculum and cater to the unique learning needs of each student.
  • Assess and regularly monitor the progress of your students, adjusting your teaching methods to maximise their learning outcomes.
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment that motivates students to excel.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians to provide feedback on student progress and address any concerns.
  • Keep accurate records of tutoring sessions and student performance.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Previous experience as a Home Tutor, particularly at the GCSE level, is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in Maths and English, with the ability to teach other subjects being a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals.
  • The ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual learning needs of each student.

Working Hours:

The working hours for this position are flexible and can be tailored to your availability. Whether you're seeking full-time or part-time work, we can accommodate your schedule. The role includes 1 to 2 hours of planning time per student, depending on the length of tutoring sessions.
