SEN Mentor - Primary School - Social Science / Psychology Graduates
A Hounslow school is looking to bring on an SEN Mentor to their vibrant, supportive team to mentor students with SEN such as ADHD, Dyslexia, and ASD.
The school is already overstaffed with enthusiastic teaching assistants and due to an expansion of the school is now looking to take on 3+ SEN Mentors to guide KS2 SEN students through their academics, and ensuring they can achieve highly.
Previous graduates of this role have gone on to become Art Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, as well as completing a variety of master's degrees.
Details of the SEN Mentor role below…
- Supporting students with SEN through their academics with targeted 1:1 and group interventions
- Tracking and recording the progress of SEN students and implementing individual targets
- Managing the emotional and behavioural needs of the students through clear communication
- Working alongside the school's SENCo as well as a team of psychology professionals such as counsellors, speech and language therapists, and behaviourists
- Lead academic success in SEN students and encourage a passion for learning

- £90-£105 per day - paid weekly
- Full time - Long Term, ASAP Start
- Experience supporting students with SEN and SEMH
- Monday - Friday 08:30 - 16:00 - No Weekends!
- Supportive SLT who encourage continuous training to develop your skillset and experience
- Graded 'Outstanding' by OFSTED
- Very well behaved, high achieving school located in Hounslow
SEN Mentor - Who are we looking for?
- A 1st Class or 2:1 degree
- Experience working with children
- Academically strong with the ability to tutor SEN students
- Patient, Kind, Compassionate
- Clear communication skills
- Critical thinking skills
