Main duties and responsibilities:
* Assist with B13’s work and leisure time
* Attend sports and leisure activities such as scouts, swimming, and horse riding
* Support therapists and record data
* Use augmentative communication app with son’s iPad
* Provide practical and personal help
SEN Nanny or Specialist required to care for a 13 year old boy who has a diagnosis of Autism.
As a SEN Nanny / Childcare specialist we are looking for the following essential skills / traits:
● A great understanding of Autism, or a willingness to learn. Genuine interest in SEN Childcare / Education and the educational support B13 is receiving.
● At least 2 years of experience working with special educational needs (SEN) children
● Prior experience with non-verbal communicators and emotional dysregulation
● Ability to learn and implement therapy programmes and record data efficiently
SENNIES is excited to help a family near Bath find a caring SEN nanny for their 13 and 11-year-old boys. The role includes supporting therapists, participating in sporty activities, and helping with some evening babysitting and very occasional overnight stays. The position offers a great opportunity for someone to receive training in Autism from leading professionals. The family is fortunate to have access to excellent support for their neurodivergent family, and they hope to find a nurturing Sennie/Buddy who can help their children thrive in their beautiful, rural home.
Days & hours:
22 hours per week

Tuesday & Thursday: 5pm – 9pm
*
Wednesday: 2pm – 6pm (during induction) then 5-9pm
*
Friday: 3pm – 8pm
*
Saturday: 5 hours – to be mutually agreed in advance by both the family and the Sennie
