We are currently searching for a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant(s) to join the team at reputable Secondary Schools in Bodmin. This role is ideal for individuals seeking valuable experience before pursuing teacher training.
Responsibilities:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across various subject areas.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Tailored Assistance: Providing pupils with tailored support to assist them in overcoming the unique problems connected with their main autism diagnosis and complex demands.
- Collaboration: Working collaboratively with educators, therapists, and other experts to create an inclusive learning environment that meets the unique needs of each child.
- Customised Educational Plans: Implementing tailored educational programs and techniques to help pupils to reach their full potential and reach developmental milestones.
- Social and Emotional Growth: Encourage and nurture social connection, communication, and emotional development, all of which are critical parts of growth for these children.
- Personal Well-Being: Assisting students with personal care in order to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Progress Tracking: Progress tracking entails observing and reporting on pupils' progress as well as actively participating in their development.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Candidates with experience in care and support work are preferred.
- A genuine interest in education and a desire to see kids thrive.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Empathy and patience are required to engage effectively with pupils who face a variety of obstacles.
- A proactive and adaptable strategy, capable of adapting to changing circumstances.
- School experience would be beneficial but not required
- Hold a DBS registered to the update service or apply through GSL Education.
