SEN Teacher for Secondary Class

We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join one of the schools we work with in Coventry, Rugby or Nuneaton starting in September 2024. This is a full-time, permanent position where you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality education and support to secondary class students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and effective lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with special educational needs.
• Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff, parents, and external agencies.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional development of each student.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure all students achieve their potential.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support to students.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to continually enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (Desirable - not compulsory) 
• Experience working with secondary school students with special educational needs (Desirable - not compulsory) 
• Strong understanding of SEN best practices, strategies, and interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
