THE ROLE
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on students’ lives? We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher to join our dynamic team, focusing on providing exceptional support for students with learning difficulties. There are a variety of students who require additional support, some conditions include but are not limited to:
– Non-Verbal / Speech Delay
– Visual Impairment
– Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
– Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
The role includes but is not limited to:
- Cultivate a sense of belonging by actively promoting the inclusion of students within the broader classroom community. Encourage social interactions and empower them to excel in group activities.
- Take the lead in implementing individualized education and behaviour plans, contributing significantly to the success and progress of our students.
- Emphasize the importance of communication; collaborate seamlessly with teachers, parents, and fellow professionals to establish a comprehensive support system for each student.
- Serve as a mentor and friend, building positive and trusting relationships with students. Create a safe and nurturing space where they can thrive.
- Demonstrate proficiency in behavioural intervention, transforming challenges into opportunities for growth through effective strategies and positive reinforcement.
