We are recruiting a specialist primary and secondary school supporting children with autism and associated social and communication needs in a bespoke and nurturing environment. Our specialist multi-disciplinary team of leaders, carers, therapists and educationalists work seamlessly together to provide high-quality teaching and learning for our students. We also offer a strong performing arts curriculum and an outdoor learning programme to enhance our students' creativity and wellbeing.
We are looking for an SEN Teacher who can:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs and abilities of our students
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to support learning and progress
- Assess and monitor students' attainment and progress and provide feedback and guidance
- Work collaboratively with other staff members and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for our students
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters self-esteem, resilience and respect
- Follow the school's policies and procedures and uphold the school's vision and values
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience of teaching children with SEN, preferably in a specialist setting
- Knowledge and understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and the National Curriculum
- A commitment to continuous professional development and learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude
