Job description

Are you a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher with a strong commitment to supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our fantastic school in the Islington area.

SEN Teacher position overview:

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in providing support to primary school students with ASD. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the diverse needs of children with ASD, catering to both low and high functioning individuals.

SEN Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of students with ASD.
  • Implement effective strategies to support the academic, social, and emotional development of each child.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, parents, and support staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods accordingly.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting a sense of belonging and confidence.

SEN Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant SEN experience.
  • Specialization or additional training in ASD support is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience working with both low and high functioning ASD students.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passionate about creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
