Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SENTA)
Location: Ashton, Tameside - Early Years Resource Unit
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SENTA) to join our dynamic team at our Early Years Resource Unit in Ashton, Tameside. This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young learners with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with special educational needs, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Implement and adapt learning activities to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in consultation with the teaching team.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support the overall well-being of the children.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs in an educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to ensuring a safe learning environment for all children.
