THE SCHOOL
A lovely SEN school that caters for students with SEMH based in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team from January 2024 on a long-term supply basis through to April 2024. There is an opportunity for a permanent position from April 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to work alongside experienced professionals in a supportive and dynamic environment.
THE ROLE
As a Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the students' educational journey. Your responsibilities will include in the following:
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may require extra help.
Help manage classroom activities and maintain a productive learning environment.
Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional development.
Support children with special educational needs (SEN) and adapt teaching materials as necessary.
Assist with classroom organisation, including preparing materials and resources.
Promote a culture of respect, inclusivity, and enthusiasm for learning.
Contribute to the safety and well-being of students in all school activities.
ABOUT YOU
Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with Sen needs.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Empathy and patience.
A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
Relevant qualifications or Team Teach training is a bonus
