SEN Teaching Assistant

Role Overview: We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Worksop. In this role, you will work closely with SEN students, providing them with the assistance and support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN
• Assisting students with their learning activities
• Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Supporting classroom teachers in delivering differentiated instruction
• Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborating with other professionals, such as educational psychologists and speech therapists, to support student development
• Monitoring and recording student progress

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or young adults with SEN is preferred but not essential
• A passion for working with children and making a difference in their lives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting
• Relevant qualifications or training in education or SEN support are advantageous
