Salary: £84- £90 per day

This lovely  primary school in Aintree is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work closely with a small group of children and become part of their friendly team in the Autism base. The post will be supporting classes and providing one to one support to children and children aged 7-11 with Autism, any previous experience supporting Autism would be highly beneficial.

The position will involve working with students across all Key Stages with diagnosis of Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties, and challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.

The school has an excellent reputation and is very welcoming and supportive. The setting is centred on pupil’s development, as well as an intrinsic desire to make progress both academically and with their own emotional, social and behavioural skills.

The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA will have:

· Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities

· Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours

· Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent

· Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
