Role Overview
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your job will be to play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs. Your responsibilities include:
- Providing essential support to students, ensuring they have the opportunity to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Thinking on your feet and implementing tailored intervention strategies.
- Assisting in classroom activities and fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Applying behaviour management strategies to maintain positive student behaviour in both the classroom and the school environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Experience: Prior experience working with children with special educational needs is essential.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and most importantly, the children.
- Attitude: A positive outlook, caring nature, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Drive: Demonstrated motivation and a strong work ethic.
Requirements:
You must have a minimum of 40 days' experience within a classroom or job setting that we can reference.
