SEN Teaching Assistant

Smile Education are currently working with a Nuneaton school, and we are seeking empathetic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils aged 11-19 with special educational needs.
Key Highlights of this Role
- Secondary school Teaching Assistant position with an SEN focus – children are aged 11-19
- Supporting students with a broad range of needs including Autism, PMLD, and challenging behaviour
- Full-time, long-term – Monday to Friday during term time
- Immediate start
- School is easily accessible by public transport
- £80 - £100 per day, dependant on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Providing one-on-one support and guidance to students
- Collaborating with the classroom teacher, SENDCo, parents, and outside agencies to ensure that the needs of all students are met
- Preparing learning resources
- Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Promoting the progress of every student
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Previous experience working with Special Educational Needs
- Flexibility and willingness to support various needs within the school community
- A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs
- Good communication skills
