Address Axcis Education is working with a school in Brent that supports Primary aged children with variety of different special educational needs. We are looking to appoint experienced SEN Teaching Assistants who can provide excellent support and mentoring to their students. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students with additional needs that are a barrier to their learning. The role will require supporting students on a 1:1 basis within a classroom environment. The school are looking for candidates with previous experience within a school support role or working as a youth worker. In addition, experience working with the following special education needs is required: • ADHD • Autism • Social Emotional Mental Health • Complex Needs • Challenging Behaviour Candidates must be able to work full time, Monday-Friday from the hours of 8:30am-4pm. The school is based on a public transport route. The role is initially temporary to start with, with a view to go permanent for the right candidates. What you will need: • Excellent SEN knowledge • Prior experience working with SEN children in a school environment • Confident & strong classroom management skills • 1 years worth of reference • A DBS on the update service (or be willing to pay for a new one) Hourly Rate: up to £13.84 per hour.
