  • Role: Senior SENCO
  • Salary: Up to UPS3 with TLR
  • Location:North West London
  • Start Date: September

SANZA Teaching is delighted to be supporting a very large and successful school in North West London in their search for a Senior SENCO. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving educational community on a temporary-to-permanent basis starting in September. The role offers a competitive salary up to USP with TLR.

About the Role

As the Senior SENCO, you will:

  • Lead and manage the SEND provision across the school
  • Oversee the coordination of SEND support, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practices
  • Manage two Additionally Resourced Provisions (ARPs) within the school
  • Coordinate and monitor over 50 Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Develop and implement the school's SEND policy and strategic direction
  • Support and train staff on SEND practices and interventions
  • Liaise with external agencies, parents, and carers to ensure effective support for students with SEND
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews of student progress and provision effectiveness
  • Ensure that all SEND students receive high-quality teaching and support tailored to their individual needs

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with significant experience in a SENCO role
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to complete it
  • Proven track record of managing and improving SEND provision in a school setting
  • Experience in managing ARPs and coordinating EHCPs
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
