Job description

In the role of SENDCO you’ll predominantly be based at our Engineering Campus and your focus will be on delivering exceptional SEND support to identified students. Your key responsibilities will be managing the EHCP process and ensure PfA outcomes are clearly identified, undertaking Quality Audits within your area to ensure a consistent SEND approach. Managing a team of staff. Liaising with external agencies and feeder schools. Ideally, you’ll have an HE qualification in Dyslexia (or willingness to achieve within 2 year) and demonstrable experience in leading a SEND team within a post 16 setting. It is important that you’re able to communicate effectively, encourage high aspirations, be able to manage change and work with all areas of the college to work towards a whole college SEND approach and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
