SalaryWe have an exciting secondment opportunity available in the Strategic Planning and Resources Team, CYPS, Inclusion.
Due to recent staffing changes there is the 4 month part time role - SEND Development Officer, Provision.
The Strategic Planning and Resources Team are a small team who work across North Yorkshire to develop SEND provision. This includes alternative provision (AP), targeted mainstream provisions (TMP), Preparation for Adulthood (PfA) and the Local Offer. We are looking for someone dynamic who can work across different aspects of the role independently.
This role will be the lead for Alternative Provision (AP), including managing the directory, carrying out Quality Assurance, updating the guidance and providing support. It will also entail supporting the preparation for adulthood agenda and leading the current strategy work around post-16 and post-19 provision.
The team currently work in a hybrid model, including one day a week in County Hall, Northallerton.
A knowledge of the alternative provision legislation is required alongside an in-depth knowledge of preparing for adulthood requirements and guidance.
Experience in SEND services is required as well as experience of strategic planning, quality assurance and delivering against performance indicators.
Good communication skills are essential.
