Role: SEN Learning Support Assistant

Location: Cornwall and Surrounding Areas, UK

Pay: £80 - £95 (negotiable, dependant on experience)

Hours: 8.30 – 15.30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

Role Type: Temporary, Day-to-day bookings, Full-time/Part-time

About us: Reed Education are currently recruiting for SEN Learning Support Assistants to join our team! While out on placement in our lovely partner schools, we are here to support you with any questions or issues that may arise.

As a SEN Learning Support Assistants, your role will include:

• Providing 1:1 support for individuals with SEND needs.
• Managing adverse behaviours in the classroom.
• Conducting pupil interventions.
• Provide day-to-day wellbeing and physical care.
• Working alongside the class teachers to ensure children's needs are met.
• Supporting children and young people with challenging behaviours, learning difficulties and physical disabilities. 

Qualities and Skills we are looking for:

• A bubbly and Engaging personality
• A calm and patient nature
• Knowledge of Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) in Children and Adults.
• A passion for working with children and young people. 
• A Valid Enhanced DBS (or happy to undergo the process of obtaining a DBS).
• Experience working in a similar setting and/or transferrable skills and qualities (desirable, but not essential).
