Nursery: Bright Horizons Cheshunt Day Nursery and Preschool
Salary: £24,726- £28,000 per annum (dependant on qualification/s and experience)
Location: Cheshunt, Hertfordshire
We are looking for a full time, SEND Support Early Years Practitioner to join our Bright Horizons Cheshunt Day Nursery and Pre School.

What you’ll be doing
- Consistently deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps all children to develop and meets their individual needs
- Make accurate and effective assessments which reflect the needs, interests and stages of development of the child by effective delivery of the key person approach. Collate this information to contribute to Support plan reviews and or EHCP’s
- Ensure effective communication with the setting SENDCO and support collaboration between the setting, professionals and parents.
- Ensuring an enabling environment is providing consistent stimulating and inspiring activities for the children in both the indoor and outdoor area as a continuous provision.
- Ensure children have the appropriate equipment and resourced to support the children’s SEND needs.
- Promote inclusion and relationships with children with or without SEND.
- Meet physical, sensory, emotional or communication needs as required whilst encouraging independence.
- Ensure that British Values are incorporated and demonstrated through Early Years Foundation Stage learning and play.
- Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children in line with our child protection and keeping everyone safe policies and procedures.
- Promote and follow guidelines implemented for supporting behaviour including supporting children to manage their own feelings and behaviours.
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication at all levels
- Demonstrate the HEART principles in everyday working life
- From time to time you may be required to support other Bright Horizons locations within the local area
Essential Experience:
- Experience of working within the Early Years Sector.
- Experience of working with children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities.
- SEN Qualification OR a Full and Relevant level 2 Early Years Qualification or above.
Experience Desirable:
- Paediatric First Aid
