TeacherActive is looking for an experienced and passionate SEND Support Worker to work in a specialist Residential School in Barton-Upon-Humber. This school provides care and education for children, young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties.
This school is dedicated to catering to all their students' needs and creating a “Pathway” for each of the key divisions; autism, BESD, and complex needs. This aims to promote choice and control and enables the learners to achieve their potential for independence.
The ideal SEND TA / SEND Teaching Assistant should have the following:
A minimum of 3 months SEND experience
A calm, patient, and caring persona
Good behavioural management skills
A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
