Salary: £150-£230 (based on experience)

TeacherActive is proud to partner with a fantastic SEND provision based in Hackney. The school follows a varied curriculum to suit the needs of the young people with complex needs support being the main focus. Underpinning this, is the consistent teaching of people skills, and guidance to assist children develop their social, emotional, and personal abilities. Their culture is one of patience, inclusivity and helping children and young people with disabilities to achieve their full potential, whilst promoting independence. The main need for this role would be advanced knowledge of sensory development and how to provide this in the class. 

The school is looking to take on a temporary SEND Teacher which has the possibility of becoming a permanent position. The successful SEND teacher will be working directly with students with complex needs. The class also has a strong support system with many LSAs to support.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

- QTS, Instructors will be considered.

- Experience working with children and young people with additional needs including ASD, SLD, PMLD, ADD, ADHD.

- Experience supporting children through therapeutic practices.

- Experience working with complex needs and physical care.
