Job description
A 2 form entry school in Erdington are looking for a Teaching Assistant with a wide range of experience working with children with SEND, to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 2 child with ASD and SEMH in the mornings, and do small group interventions in the afternoons.This role may also require personal care.
The role is 5 days per week, starting ASAP - July 2024.
This role will be situated in a lovely school with really passionate staff, and a great leadership team.
The ideal candidate:
* Level 3 qualification minimum
* Long term (an academic term or more) experience of working with children on a 1-1 basis
* SEND experience covering Autism and lower level ability
* Able to communicate and build rapport with the children you support
* Confident in communicating with the SENCO, leadership team and parents
* Passionate about working with SEND children & dedicated to helping them thrive and
achieve
targets set in line with their individual education plan's (IEP)
* Meticulous when it comes to completing IEP's to ensure everything is covered and the
child's accomplishments are recorded and rewarded
