Address Axcis are recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work at a specialist school in Preston full-time, to work with children or young people. The school provides an inclusive education for students with a range of complex needs. As a school care assistant, you must be open to supporting with personal care. You may be required to work across several age groups, so flexibility is essential. It is imperative that all staff working at the school are enthusiastic, passionate, caring and dedicated to the students and the school. A successful Teaching Assistant will have the following: • Experience working in a special school or care setting • Knowledge of severe learning disabilities and profound and multiple learning disabilities – experience working with children or adults with these needs • Training or experience in non-verbal communication (PECS, Makaton), hoisting and movement and handling (desirable) • A willingness to carry out personal care • A willingness to engage in activities with the children. • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude. • Be reliable and consistent • Be available during the working hours 8.30am – 3.30pm and able to commit to a full-time role (term-time only) INDLIV
