Job Title: Senior 1 Radiographer - MRI

Department: Radiology

Location: Basinghall Clinic, Basinghall Street, London EC2V, and The Cromwell Hospital, Cromwell Road, London SW5

Permanent / Contract: Permanent

Salary range: upti £52,600 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Full time/part time: Full-Time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Please note that this role will be primarily based at the Basinghall Clinic, with rotation at the Cromwell Hospital in Kensington.

The Basinghall Clinic is our satellite site linked to the Cromwell Hospital. Led by highly specialist and experienced consultants, and we provide services to include; Orthopaedics, Osteopathy, Mammography, Musculoskeletal and Cardiology, Radiology, GP amongst others. The Cromwell Hospital offer some of the most technologically advanced treatments and facilities. We offer GP services, health clinics, outpatient's clinics and diagnostic services.

You'll help us make health happen by:

Reporting to the Superintendent Radiographer, you will provide high standards of service to our patients. The department is extremely busy therefore you'll be organised, proactive, and able to work well under pressure in a complex environment, having adaptability and sensitivity to work within a diverse environment. Some of the duties to include:

• Deputise for the Superintendent Radiographer as appropriate.

• To work flexible hours when required to accommodate changing workload patterns MRI.

• Work cross site - You'll be primarily based at the Basinghall Clinic but must also be flexible to work at the Cromwell Hospital.

• To develop and maintain staff rotas to ensure appropriate staff coverage on the respective scanner.

• To supervise the professional standards and operational management of the rotating staff and their training in the respective scanner, ensuring a consistent level of service is maintained.

• To perform high quality examinations as required by referring Physicians, in line with departmental policies and procedures whilst ensuring that all patients being investigated receive a high standard of care.

• Ensure patient confidentiality is not breaches.

• Report all incidents

• You'll be familiar with and observe the Local Rules pertaining to radiation protection (IRMER 2017) and the Ionising Radiations Regulations 1999 for the protection of persons against ionising radiation arising from any work activity.

• To be familiar the Safety Guidelines - MHRA Guidelines.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

• BSc or DCR in Radiography (essential)

• Substantial MRI experience (essential)

• It would be desirable to be Siemens MRI trained in neuro, body and ortho MRI.

• Demonstrable experience in Contrast MRI (essential)

• Cannulation

• Ability to work under pressure and direct and achieve results
