Job description

Our Client, a leading engineering and management consultancy, specialising in energy, transport and environmental projects is experiencing a high increase in workload and currently have an urgent requirement for a Senior Acoustic Consultant to assist their Glasgow based team. This multidisciplinary consultancy provides a wide range of acoustic services including planning and noise assessments and noise and vibration support for renewables sites. The successful applicant will have previous acoustic consultancy experience and a strong background in Environmental Acoustics. In return, you will have access to a prestigious client base both in public and private sectors across the UK and abroad and join one of the largest global teams of acoustic specialists in the field.

Experience

Highly organised and IT literate

Exhibit excellent communication skills

Ability to write fluent and intelligible reports, placing a high emphasis on accuracy and consistency

Personal experience of Noise Modeling using a recognized software package

Commercially aware and team player

Good communication and client liaison skills

Specialist understanding of the required standards and regulations

Full driving license

Duties

Measurement surveys and reporting

Advice on legislation

Prediction and measurement of transportation noise

Planning conditions - compliance and negotiation

Noise Impact Assessments (including Environmental Impact Assessment)

Liaise with consultants, engineers and architects

Writing high quality reports

Industrial and commercial noise control

Consultation with Environmental Health Officers including advising on the appropriate use of planning conditions

Assessment of internal acoustic performance of buildings

Undertake noise assessment site visits all over the UK

Contribute to group expansion and develop and maintain business through networking, contact nurturing and presentations

Projects

Delivering several exciting and substantial projects within the divisions of transportation, construction, conventional energy, renewables, industrial, battery storage, and hydropower.
