This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Alumni Events Officer to join a globally recognised London university on a temporary basis!
This position requires excellent event development and management skills as well as strong collaboration, influencing skills and stakeholder management skills to develop robust relationships across teams, alumni, and suppliers. The post-holder will be expected to understand the strategic objectives of the Alumni Relations Office, how the Alumni Events portfolio supports this strategy, put forward recommendations to withdraw or develop new events to support the strategy, and ensure that the resources and processes are in place for successful overall delivery.
SENIOR ALUMNI EVENTS OFFICER ROLE:
- Working closely with the Director of Alumni Relations, the Head of Alumni Relations and some members of the Alumni Relations Team, providing strategic leadership and overall event management and delivery of a programme of ‘lead’ Alumni Events
- Helping ensure appropriate co-ordination, promotion, consistency and reporting in ‘partner’ events, normally originating from international groups, associations or departments, and responsibility for their content or relationships normally lies with other team members
- Planning and prioritising a changing workload as new Alumni Events are added to the portfolio, being willing to adjust priorities when circumstances change
- Providing practical advice on events planning policies and procedures, including GDPR and Data Protection, for Departments across the College and for major alumni volunteer-led events, as and when needed
- Line managing the Alumni Engagement and Events Coordinator, and potentially a temporary member of staff during particularly busy periods.
- Managing and developing the event evaluation procedure to analyse the success of events on an ongoing basis and ensure that this is tracked
- Analysing feedback to make recommendations and manage them through implementation
- 3 Years experience leading events, international events a bonus
- Experience supervising a team
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
