We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Anaesthetic Practitioner to join the Operating Theatres department of a state of the art Private Hospital in St Johns Wood.
Senior Anaesthetic Practitioner Duties:
Providing specialist care to the patient during the perioperative period.Assisting in the day to day management of the theatres.Acts as a mentor to junior colleagues and unqualified support staffActs in a supervisory capacity to junior colleagues and unqualified support staff.To achieve a professional working relationship with all Department Users and our Hospital colleagues.To achieve and maintain quality care through up to date research based practice.To provide and maintain a safe working environment for Patients, Colleagues and all Department Visitors.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
Registered Nurse with recognised post graduate qualification Or Registered ODP with cert HE/DiplomaEvidence of continuing professional developmentMentorship courseSignificant post registration skills in the anaesthetic area.Ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge base of anaesthetic practice.Ability to recover patients out of hours.Experience in a wide range of specialties.Time management skills.Experience with difficult airway intubation and regional anaesthesia.Ability to act as a preceptor to newly qualified staffAbility to plan and organise own and others workTo monitor and care for the sedated patients during proceduresThe ability to communicate with clarity and intelligibility in both written and spoken English.
