Business Unit: Human Resources 
Salary: circa £45,000 DOE + red-hot benefits
Location: Remote working with some travel (monthly) to a Virgin Money Office Hub in Glasgow or Gosforth
Contract Type: Permanent

What you’ll be doing

  • Playing a key role in HR transformation projects, driving and delivering Virgin Money’s digital ambitions to our colleagues, through the development and implementation of HR technology and tools
  • Enabling the successful delivery of HR systems initiatives and maintaining and upgrading systems, databases and interfaces
  • Enabling data driven decision making, by developing tools to produce powerful people insights
  • Using your curiosity to troubleshoot systems issues, and creativity to identify solutions and improvements
  • Working within a team of skilled Analysts, sharing knowledge and ideas to deliver successfully and with impact, whilst managing a busy, diverse workload.

We need you to have 

  • Experience of maintenance, configuration and development of, preferably a top tier, HR/People System such as Oracle or Workday
  • Practical experience of system implementation and/or integration activities
  • Familiarity and experience of GDPR, the strict confidentiality of people data, and working within data governance and compliance frameworks for all systems and data activities
  • Experience of cyclical HR activities such as Pay & Bonus and related system configuration and being a technical SME for a range of HR projects
  • Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Excel to manipulate, analyse and interrogate data 
  • A collaborative mindset, with a willingness to both share your knowledge and learn from others, and an appetite for continuous development.

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Experience of Microsoft O365, SharePoint, Power Platform and related applications
  • Skills in programming languages such as SQL or DAX
  • Experience of working within a regulated environment.

If you're successful in securing a role with us, there are some checks you need to complete before starting. These include credit and criminal record checks and three years' worth of satisfactory references. If the role is part of the Senior Manager Regime and Certification Regime, it requires enhanced pre-employment checks – we'll ask for six years of regulatory references, and once in the role, you'll be subject to periodic employment checks.
