Position: Senior Application Engineer

Location: Oxford

Job Type: Permanent (Hybrid)

My client who innovates and manufacture top electronic products to help navigational systems for many different industries.

Role and Responsibilities –

In this role you will have significant responsibility to develop complex and sophisticated engineering solutions to meet customer needs. You will be executing all technical aspects of engineering projects including developing customer hardware and software solutions and writing documentation. Other responsibilities include:

• Investigate requests for the development of solutions to meet customer applications, originating from customers or internally from Product Management
• Perform sophisticated acceptance testing of application solutions to verify correct operation, prior to release to the market. Resolve any issues found before providing to customers.
• Develop complex application solutions through developing new hardware and software, configuring company products, and integrating 3rd party products
• Write, issue and update hardware and software documentation; adhere to coding standards when developing software

Experience or Qualifications –

• Expert knowledge of C, C++ and C# programming languages
• Have some experience in developing applications for Linux and Windows.
• Knowledge of Hardware Description Languages (VHDL or Verilog)
• Degree qualification in suitable discipline electronics or equivalent
