About the team.

It's an exciting time to join the Home & Living Creative team after our recent move to our new studios based in Aintree, Liverpool. The team consists of Art Directors, Visual Merchandisers, Stylists, Set builders and Photographers. We work together both on and off site creating a wide variation of attention-grabbing imagery to entice our customers with Home Interior trend shoots, Celebrity collaborations, PR events, Social Media videos as well as Location work.  

The team operate within a hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days WFH. This may fluctuate dependent on demand requirements as the role does also require flexibility to travel UK wide to offsite locations.  

About the role.

As a Senior member in the team, you will provide creative design solutions and artwork for a wide range of product and branded offers across our Home category. This includes innovative design solutions for multi-platform campaigns and seasonal events.

From initial concept right through to final/sliced artwork, the Senior Art Director will ensure our brand, product and category guidelines are adhered to at all times.

At Very we’re big on personal and professional development and as such expect the candidate who fulfils this position to offer support and guidance to developing our more junior members in the team.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Close working relationships with key contacts across brand, marketing, trading, buying, production, samples teamsand creative teams.
  • Taking briefs, presenting back to wider teams, delivering final concepts and ensuring it meets quality, time & cost standards in line with creative objectives and budgets.
  • Managing multiple projects/artworks simultaneously reporting back job status to key stakeholders to enable mitigating any potential risks.
  • Online: proven ability to concept and design landing pages, seasonal campaigns from concept to completed imagery and prepped files in line with system requirements. Understanding of UX, personalisation, best practices

About you.

We’re looking for the successful candidate to bring with them fresh and innovative ideas within the creative space proven commercial experience in a similar position evidenced through a portfolio of work which demonstrates your creative credentials.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Excellent visualising and story boarding skills as a means of presenting and getting approval for a concept.
  • Ability to independently manage area of responsibility, to brief and deadline, as well as being commercially savvy.
  • Proven negotiation skills with key stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Proven ability to define and innovate within areas of responsibility.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe design packages.
  • Proven ability to share knowledge and understanding of relevant creative industry developments and existing and upcoming home interior looks/themes as well as social media trends.
  • Experience working across Home and Living brands as a Creative Designer.
