Senior Assessments Officer – Undergraduate Provision

Job Description We are currently seeking a Senior Assessments Officer to take the lead in all assessment activity relating to our Undergraduate Provision, including the planning, preparation, implementation and delivery of all processes relating to Central Assessment Boards and results publication. About the Role You will be an effective line manager, who will be responsible for taking the lead on all assessment-related activities relating to Undergraduate Provision both at our Bath-based campuses and at our franchised partner institutions. This is a vital role which will involve meticulous planning, preparation, implementation, and delivery of all processes relating to Central Assessment Boards and results publication. Your expertise will be crucial in advising colleagues and partner institutions on assessment processes, attending meetings, and addressing inquiries requiring your specialised knowledge. Additionally, you'll lead a team of Assessment Officers, manage workload schedules, and ensure adequate coverage during peak periods. Collaborating closely with the Assessments and Progression Manager, you'll coordinate key dates, maintain consistency in approach, and support each other during busy periods. This role involves occasional deputising for the Assessments and Progression Manager, contributing to significant Student and Registry Services events. About You You will have a degree or equivalent education and substantial administrative experience, preferably in Higher Education. Your role will involve managing staff, utilising Microsoft applications proficiently, and working with databases. Collaborative teamwork, meeting shared goals across teams, and working independently are key aspects. You should excel in prioritising tasks, meeting deadlines, and applying technical knowledge practically. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and exceptional written and oral communication are essential.
