• Client Engagement: Building and maintaining strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on complex financial matters. Identifying opportunities to provide value-added services and solutions to clients.
• Team Management: Leading and managing a high-performing team of audit professionals. Fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting the professional development of team members.
• Quality Assurance: Overseeing the quality and integrity of audit engagements, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulations. Conducting reviews and providing guidance to enhance the overall quality of deliverables.
• Technical Expertise: Staying abreast of evolving accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends. Applying advanced technical knowledge to address complex audit issues and provide strategic insights.

Job Purpose 

• Support the Partners in high level and strategic audit engagements from planning to completion.
• Manage assurance engagements for statutory and group reporting. 
• Oversee workflow across the audit team, ensuring expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met. 
• Liaise with clients, building trusted and long-lasting relationships, cross-selling and retaining business. 
• Provide constructive mentorship to junior managers, championing their professional development. 
• Work closely with Partners and other Managers to support company growth, including scoping opportunities and pitching for new business. 
• Identify services that will add value to your portfolio of clients. 
• Reviewing internal processes and providing recommendations to improve efficiencies across the Audit function.  
• Set an example for the team as a natural leader. 
• Business development and networking.

The Successful Applicant 

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in audit, including a proven track record of managing and leading audit teams.
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting.
• Exceptional senior leadership and people management skills.
• Effective communication and relationship-building abilities.
