Your Job Purpose:
As a Senior Automation Developer at Evri, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high quality software in line with established policies and technology stack. Leading a team of Automation Developers, you’ll have the responsibility of developing and delivering automated processes whilst also mentoring junior developers.
Key Accountabilities:
- Identifying new process opportunities and accurately analysing and estimating new processes, quickly assessing feasibility.
- Maintaining documentation, ensuring that the knowledge acquired is available across the organisation and built into the automation squad as a discipline.
- Supporting the automation architecture in designing performant and resilient solutions.
- Develop performant, efficient and reliable solutions.
- Design, code, verify, tests, document, amend and refactor complex software.
- Participate in estimation and planning work with an adaptive (iterative/agile) approach.
- Staying up to date with the latest tech innovations and evaluate their value.
- Analysing, understanding and documenting the business processes in detail where required.
- Identifying and communicating the technical infrastructure requirements.
- Configuring new processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand.
- Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
- Problem solving issues that arise in day to day running of EVRi processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required.
- Working within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process.
- Creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the pre-UAT phases
- Supporting the Operational Teams during the UAT and rollout phases
To Be Successful in This Role, You'll Require:
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience in UiPath or Blue Prism, certifications preferred.
- Power Platform or low code apps essential
- Agile/Waterfall certifications are preferred.
Knowledge & Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience building automation processes in UiPath (and/or Blue Prism).
- Experience of using Object Orientated design patterns in building software solutions.
- Experience with database and API’s.
- Understanding an Automation Operating Lifecycle
- Knowledge using regex, json, vb.net/c# or any coding language, linq queries, sql.
- Understanding of the logical separation between Process logic and Application logic in UiPath
- Understanding of selectors in UiPath
- Understanding of best practices around UiPath, including working with Orchestrator queues,assets, folder organisation and REFramework.
- Experience with AWS services.
- Experience working with an agile framework (Scrum/Kanban).
- Experience using DevOps principles and automation practices.
- Commercial Experience of developing distributed systems using a messaging based architecture.
Technical & People Skills:
- A track record in the successful delivery and support of excel macros, Visual Basic scripts or other configuration/scripting type technology.
- Knowledge of UiPath essential.
- Understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualise it as an automated solution.
- Willingness and ability to blend business analysis with hands-on configuration of automated processes.
- The ability to learn quickly and progress rapidly from theoretical exercises to real world delivery and mentoring tasks.
- Good communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience.
- Good written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
- The ability to work with a structured and methodical approach, combined with an enquiring mind.
- An understanding of, and a willingness to adhere to, formal change control procedures and disciplines.
- An aptitude for problem solving, with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error.
- A self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges, either on their own or as part of a team.
