Senior Bi Developer

Your new company
A well recognised organisation in Doncaster are looking to add a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to work closely with the Business Intelligence Manager to improve the processes, governance and technology in the department, whilst mentoring staff in the team. They already have modernisation projects in flight and this position will be a key driver, leading the initiatives and working with the team and key stakeholders to ensure adoption and governance. Alongside the projects, this individual will ensure that reporting solutions are designed, developed and maintained to ensure data-driven decisions can be made effectively by stakeholders. The team operate in a hybrid manner and require at least 2 days a week in the office.
Your new role

• Work with, and deputise for the BI Manager to lead and deliver data initiatives as part of the data strategy and roadmap.
• Understand the requirements and engage with stakeholders across the business to ensure reporting solutions are fit for purpose
• Lead on the set-up and adoption of Power BI across the organisation
• Lead on the Data Warehousing design and implementation as Azure technologies are adopted
• Hands-on development of the data warehouse and ETL processes
• Hands-on development of business reports and dashboards
• Understand the challenges of working in their industry and provide technical solutions and governance guidance to overcome

What you'll need to succeed

• Solid, full cycle Business Intelligence skills - storage, ETL, reporting, visualisation
• Good understanding of Power BI
• Data Warehousing design and modelling techniques - Kimball preferable
• How to apply data governance and data quality requirements throughout a business
• ERP knowledge is essential.

What you'll get in return
The salary is between £50,000 to £55,000 per annum with a good company pension and a raft of benefits in line with a large organisation.
