Senior Bid Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Senior Bid Engineer to join our client based in Sunderland.
This role offers with an attractive salary and benefits package working for a company with over 25 years’ experience providing operations management, engineering services and energy management solutions.
  
You will have the ability to problem solve, be proactive and organised with strong people management skills, and have a proven track record delivering bids using tender portals with your understanding of materials/handling process or heavy engineering project costing.
  
You will process proposals through full life cycle stages including documentation production whilst considering commercial and technical risk and compliance during the bid process, ensuring appropriate processes are followed and approvals gained before final review and submission to the client.
  
Whilst supporting client meetings and negotiations ensuring scope and content are understood, you will liaise across departments building relationships and coordinating dialog with the senior team, then communicating lessons learnt following completion of activities.
  
Requirements:
  

• HNC in a technical or engineering discipline
• Significant technical bid writing and tender creation experience
• Ability to travel/stay overnight and complete secondments as required by project demands
• Right to work in the UK
