Job description

Your new company

Hays are delighted to work in partnership with Aberlour Children's Charity on the recruitment for their newly created job of Senior Bid Writer

Aberlour is a values-driven organisation delivering around 50 services across Scotland supporting children, young people and families. As an organisation, their mission is 'to be brave for children and families.' They work together to beat poverty, disadvantage and discrimination.

 Your new role

The Aberlour Development Team delivers success. The organisation is growing year-on-year and is looking for the right person to help continue this success through funding and developing new services and improving organisational sustainability to enable us to reach even more children and families.

In joining this dedicated team, you will use your experience and knowledge of developing and coordinating tender responses and funding applications to provide comprehensive and specialist support to the organisation. You will work as part of a small team focussed on bids & tenders, playing a pivotal role in success, engaging with numerous internal stakeholders including; Marketing, Policy, Fundraising and Service Directors. Your role is critical in managing and reviewing their contributions and keeping projects to completion deadlines.

What you'll need to succeed

Due to the specialist nature of this role, you will have written and delivered high quality, successful public tenders, ideally in a social care or equivalent environment (wider third/charity sector experience will be considered).

You will thrive in a growing organisation which is ambitious and has the drive and purpose to continually expand the support they can offer children and families across Scotland. It is essential you have the ability to effectively present information and ideas, engaging a wide range of stakeholders, coupled with fantastic organisational skills and attention to detail.

What you'll get in return

Firstly, you will join an organisation that truly values its employees, promotes a positive and inclusive culture, and offers excellent learning and development opportunities.

When you work with Aberlour, they will recognise your efforts with generous annual leave, an excellent employer pension scheme, life assurance worth 3x salary and a range of deals and discounts across various retailers.

The organisation offers a mature approach to hybrid working and are happy to discuss individual requirements.
