Hours: 8am-5pm (TBC)

To work as a key member of the fabrication team possessing a positive and keen awareness of working to the highest standards in a diligent manner and within set deadlines. To set the Brake Press and train and develop junior colleagues. Own Brake Press area results, targets and KPIs.
Duties:
- Maintain workplace standards by ensuring proper workplace layout, cleanliness standard and materials presentation.
- Conduct daily machine checks and care routines
- Set up and operate power-press machines or power-brake machines to bend, form, stretch, notch, punch and straighten metal plates and structural shapes as specified.
- To review blueprints, drawing templates and layouts and fabricate appropriate profiles accurately.
- Problem solve machine issues by contacting machine manufacture and talking through issue. Communicate upstream issues and solutions
- Ensure health & safety standards are maintained within your work area.
Essential:
- Robust experience within the metal pressing industry
- Previous experience in the capacity of a Brake Press Operator
- Understand and have previous experience operating both power-brake and power-press machines effectively and safely
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings

- NVQ Specialist Plant & Machinery
