Key Responsibilities: As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in delivering construction projects, managing contracts, and providing professional advice. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, prioritizing, and leading professional advice on property and construction management.
- Designing, programming, and managing projects to ensure completion within budget and timelines.
- Developing detailed working drawings on CAD and preparing specifications for value-for-money solutions.
- Coordinating the tendering of projects, evaluating tenders, and producing recommendations.
- Submitting Building Regulation and Planning Applications, Party Wall Notices, and addressing technical queries.
- Providing specialist technical advice for design solutions and troubleshooting with stakeholders.
- Supporting the team in cross-working with other divisions, identifying service improvements, and producing timely reports.
- Acting as the Principal Designer in accordance with CDM Regulations, ensuring risk mitigation and health and safety compliance.
- Supporting the Team Leader in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and meeting strict deadlines with a flexible approach.
- Fulfilling budgetary control, producing cost estimates, and negotiating final accounts to meet financial controls.
Selection Criteria: To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A construction-related degree with post-qualification experience.
- Membership of RICS, RIBA, CIOB, or equivalent, or working toward the status.
- Strong planning, contract, and project management skills.
- Demonstrable knowledge of CDM Regulations, Health and Safety at Work Act, and relevant statutory requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in budgetary control and negotiation of final accounts.
- Proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- A full and valid driving license with a vehicle insured for business use.
Work Related Travel: Required (Ability to travel around the county, Designated car user)
