Reed Business Support are delighted to be working closely with a brilliant construction business who are based in the North-East and are seeking to employ an experienced Business Development Manager on a permanent basis.
To be considered in this position you must have either a degree in a construction or engineering related field or have suitable experience within the Electrical construction industry.
Day to Day of the role:- Identify opportunities/markets and assess all opportunities for the business.
- Contribute to and implement Business Development strategies that align with key business objectives.
- Develop new business relationships and maintain high-level contacts with current customers and project partners.
- Conduct risk assessments for potential business opportunities.
- Represent the business accurately in all interactions and at various events/functions.
- Deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients.
- Prepare monthly progress reports on Business Development for the Directors.
- Visit project sites to meet with clients and report on performances.
- Participate in the tender process from receipt of ITT to the delivery and presentation of proposals to clients.
- Work with the Managing Director to ensure all marketing materials reflect business goals and values.
- Gather and share marketing intelligence.
- Be involved in the tender process, from receipt of Invitation to Tender (ITT) to the delivery and presentation of the proposal to clients.
- A relevant degree in Construction, Engineering, or suitable experience within the Electrical Construction industry.
- Experience working for an Electrical Contractor is beneficial.
- Previous Business Development experience at a senior level.
- Strong commercial and technical background.
- In-depth knowledge of the UK Construction industry.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to lead a team in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
