Role Summary

Senior Business Intelligence Lead

As the Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Lead, you will demonstrate deep understanding of data science techniques, machine learning and statistical analysis. You can execute excellent team leadership skills as this role involves overseeing the Business Intelligence team and driving advanced analytics. Your primary focus will be on leveraging data to provide valuable insights, support decision-making, and contribute to the overall success of the IT department.

Key Responsibilities:
BI Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive BI and advanced analytics/data science strategy aligned with organisational objectives.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage the BI and advanced analytics teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members.

Data Governance and Quality:

  • Establish and enforce data governance standards to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across the organisation.

Advanced Analytics:

  • Drive the application of data science / ML techniques to extract actionable insights and trends from complex datasets.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of predictive modelling, machine learning, and statistical analysis.

Technology Stack Management:

  • Evaluate, select, and manage the implementation of BI tools and data science platforms to enhance data visualisation and analytics capabilities.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with various departments to understand business needs, identify data-driven solutions, and support decision-making processes.

Strategic Reporting:

  • Develop and implement reporting mechanisms that provide meaningful in-sights into key performance indicators and business metrics

Data Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure that BI and advanced analytics initiatives adhere to data security and compliance standards

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in BI and advanced analytics, driving continuous improvement in tools, techniques, and processes.
