Description
- Create new products and commercial ranges that are right for our varied customer base.
- Manage new product development stage process in full, from conception to bottom line.
- Consistently keep up to date with new trends and crazes.
- Liaising with suppliers including dealing direct with factories in the Far East, ensuring strong supplier relationships are maintained.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies.
- Introducing new suppliers that can add real value to our business.
- Liaising with QA team to ensure our product meets the required standards.
- Negotiating with suppliers to ensure the companies margin targets are achieved.
- Liaising with design team, providing artwork briefs to ensure our packaging is always first-rate
- Working closely with sales team to take on board customer feedback and customer requirements.
- Responsible for set up and merchandising the key brands/new lines at UK trade fairs.
- Ensure brands are merchandised to the highest level in our showroom.
- Responsible for implementing marketing strategies for category including trade press, etc.
Profile
- Proven track record of successful new product development is essential
- Far East buying/sourcing experience
- Wholesale experience advantageous
- Fully competent with Microsoft Office packages and strong excel skills
