Senior Buyer

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by a global manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Senior Buyer.

The Role :

• Responsible for the procurement of goods and services
• Sourcing value for money, quality suppliers, and securing commercially appropriate quotations; negotiating pricing and payment terms.
• Maintaining accurate data within the ERP/MRP system
• Onboarding new suppliers & build relationships with suppliers
• Negotiate, execute and monitor contractual agreements with suppliers

Key Experience :

• Experience of buying within a manufacturing facility (aerospace or automotive highly desirable)
• Understanding supplier approval processes and the importance of due diligence checks.
• Demand and spend management, analysis, and forecasting techniques knowledge.
• The importance of developing and managing key stakeholder relationships
• Knowledge and experience of MRP systems and MS Office
• Very organized and exceptional multi-tasker
