Senior Capability Consultant

Location: Glasgow - Hybrid working

Salary: £54-£68KK (up to 20% Performance Bonus + Healthcare)

Reporting to the Head of Organisational Capability and the Head of Cyber Security Strategy and Transformation, you'll provide strategic input into the ScottishPower's Cyber Skills and Culture Transformation programme across all ScottishPower businesses.  

The role holder will directly lead the design and delivery of sustainable initiatives that provide ScottishPower with the skills and behaviours needed in this discipline at all levels of the organisation. 

What you'll be doing

As a strategic partner, you'll programme manage and lead the delivery of key cyber security education, behaviour, culture, and skills programmes and solutions, using new and innovative ways of learning. 

Driving the implementation of a cyber skills and roles framework across ScottishPower businesses, you'll collaborate at a senior level to lead the design of training and career pathways as an outcome and through proactive engagement will accurately diagnose and determine solutions that address business needs and improve performance, ensuring readiness for change.

Partnering with procurement to ensure the purchase of external learning solutions, you'll manage existing supplier relationships including the drafting and overseeing of tenders and lead on developing graduate and trainee programmes that will produce skills outputs which meet SP current and future requirements.

You will ensure the successful implementation of both Ibedrola and ScottishPower learning products following an agreed project management and change management approach, with robust project, stakeholder, change and communication plans in line with activities.

This role is pivotal to ensure the partnership between People Operations, Specialists and external providers is effective to deliver appropriate people solutions. 

With a strong awareness of market conditions and trends, you will evaluate solutions from a strategic perspective and use insights to inform decision making, ensuring that ScottishPower continually demonstrates best practice in relation to cyber.

What we're looking for:

  • Background of developing, designing, implementing, and evaluating skills-based leadership and learning and development frameworks - the products and tools that drive strategic and behavioural change at all levels within an organisation.

  • Experience of broader OD disciplines such as supporting organisational transformation / change, culture change.

  • Experience of designing and working with skills frameworks, preferably in the Cyber / IT discipline

  • Experience of programme management, managing and delivering solutions, projects, workstreams and deliverables

  • Strong background of developing graduate and apprentice programmes

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels

  • Ability to manage budget allocation (circa £2M) within defined process.
