An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Capital Allocation Analyst to join a leading European fund manager specialising in credit and real estate. This role is based in Manchester, offering a competitive salary of £50,000. What you'll do:
As a Senior Capital Allocation Analyst, you will play a crucial role in monitoring the performance of various funds under management. You will be responsible for investigating trends, identifying risk factors, and providing insights that will guide Capital Allocation decisions. Your ability to engage with external stakeholders will be key as you assist in responding to investor queries about portfolio performance. Additionally, your analytical skills will be put to good use as you conduct scenario analyses and stress tests on fund portfolios. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute significantly to the success of our client's fund management business.

* Monitor the performance of funds under management, investigating trends, risk factors, and identifying areas requiring further analysis and risk mitigation
* Monitor Investment performance and forward-looking investment pipeline, presenting findings and potential risk factors to internal stakeholders
* Support in the production and maintenance of financial models to support Capital Allocation decisions for a pan European fund management business
* Assist in responses to investor queries surrounding the portfolio and performance, engaging with external stakeholders as necessary
* Support in conducting scenario analysis and stress testing of the fund portfolio(s) to enable effective risk management of the investment programme
* Perform special projects/analysis and support in the preparation of business plans, monthly estimations / forecasts

What you bring:
The ideal Senior Capital Allocation Analyst candidate brings a strong academic background within a quantitative discipline such as STEM fields(s), Economics or Finance. You will be comfortable working with large data sets, identifying key insights, and presenting them effectively. A high degree of attention to detail and the ability to consolidate and interpret complex information from multiple sources. Advanced Excel skills, analytical mindset, and problem-solving abilities will be invaluable in this role.

* Strong academic background within a quantitative discipline such as STEM fields(s), Economics or Finance
* Comfortable working with large data sets, identifying and presenting key insights
* Advanced Excel skills
* Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems under pressure
* Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
* Strong Experience with SQL (experience with Python would also be advantageous)
