Overview of Role:
TTM Healthcare are currently working with one of Ireland's a leading private hospital in Dublin in search of a Senior Cardiac Physiologist. As a Senior Cardiac Physiologist, you will lead and participate in both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of heart and blood vessel disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
•Train, supervise, and conduct a full range of non-invasive and invasive cardiac diagnostic tests.
•Maintain an understanding of diagnostic cardiac procedures, including Electrophysiology Studies.
•Communicate effectively with Consultants, GP's, and hospital staff regarding patients' needs.
•Ensure timely production and delivery of patient procedures.
•Maintain required departmental records and adhere to infection control procedures.
•Participate in department process improvement projects and maintain a safe working environment.
•Contribute to the development of the Cardiology Policy and procedure manual.
•Evaluate equipment and make recommendations regarding purchase, use, or rental.
•Stay updated on new developments in the field of cardiology.
Personal and Professional Responsibilities:
•Attend mandatory education sessions and maintain a professional portfolio.
•Positively reflect the profession and the hospital in personal and professional interactions.
•Act as a preceptor and/or supervisor to students and newly appointed staff.
•Participate in performance reviews with the Chief Physiologist.
Requirements:
•BSc in Clinical Measurement or Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (Dublin Institute of Technology, Kevin Street, Dublin) or IICMS equivalent.
•A.S.C.S.T - Associate of The Society for Cardiological Science and Technology (UK) or equivalent.
•Aim to sit the IBHRE/ BHRS exam in the future
Experience:
•Minimum three years post-qualification experience in a Cardiac Department with experience in a Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory and Cardiac Pacing.
•Experience in Electrophysiology is desirable.
•Possess Advanced Life Support.
•Good general knowledge of cardiology.
