Due to rapid expansion and development in the cardiac department and the services that it offers, we are looking for new team members. We currently provide a wide range of cardiac diagnostics for the acute inpatient; and provide outpatient services for residents of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. With the addition of new team members we will be striving to develop our range of Physiologist Led services.
Applicants to the posts should have BSc Clinical Physiology (cardiology) or equivalent. This post is suitable for Physiologists with substantive experience (including education) who are able to demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning. This role is full time: 37.5 hours per week + on call commitment.
The Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro, is the main provider of acute healthcare to the majority of Cornwall’s residents and many seasonal visitors. Cardiology Services offer a comprehensive range of investigations and treatments appropriate to a large DGH.

You will be part of a team delivering a wide range of non-invasive and invasive specialist procedures including interventional procedures and device implants and follow-ups. Participation on the on call rota is an essential part of this role.
Non-invasive investigations include exercise tolerance testing, HUTT and a range of holter services.

Demonstrable experience in a wide range of non-invasive and invasive specialist procedures including the analysis, interpretation and processing of specialist data with subsequent report generation.
Accurately record clinical data and results to appropriate databases and hospital notes for patient management.
To act as a clinical expert and role model providing specialist knowledge and advice to all staff working within the department and other areas of the directorate.
Participate in the on-call rota, providing an out of hours emergency service to the Trust.
Ability to supervise and train others.
