Your Purpose

We’re now looking to recruit a Senior Category Manager  to join our brilliant Procurement Team.

The Senior Category Manager will be responsible for managing up to 6 categories of high to intermediate complexity within their local country/cluster. The role will involve 2 direct reports to manage, coach and support in their development and also the development of the categories. This will include using strategic sourcing principles such as spend analysis, RFx, reverse auctions, contract management and supplier management.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing up to 6 local/regional categories of intermediate to high complexity using strategic sourcing principles. Must understand country/region business priorities and needs. Owns contract compliance once agreement is signed.
  • Managing local/regional suppliers, including scorecarding and actively monitoring KPI's. Responsible for creating and delivering category strategies on the national level.
  • Maintaining cost savings target of £0.5M-£2M per year. Responsible for assessing and managing category risks and opportunities on a country/cluster level. Responsible for managing category AOP cycle including supporting countries/clusters with their local budgets and having a clear plan to cover LRP ambitions.
  • Managing stakeholders within their country/cluster. Must be able to business partner with senior level internal stakeholders aligning on company priorities and needs. Must also build relationships at lower levels of the organization
  •  Manage 2 procurement professionals and help to coach, develop and support to enable succession planning for future roles within the business

  • Procurement experience.
  • Excellent strategic sourcing, supplier management, spend analysis, and contract negotiations.
  • SAP experience.
  • Experience with contract management tools, spend analysis tools.
  • Broad based experience in multinational category management and international teams. Strong project management skills.
