Senior Chef

Our client, a daytime Restaurant, near Alton, Hampshire are looking to recruit a Senior Chef to join their friendly team.
As the Senior Chef at this busy restaurant, you'll create a stunning selection of diverse menu items for our customers. You'll be able to put your skills to good use creating fantastic dishes, as well as mouth-watering cakes. You will enjoy working with and receiving assistance from the team who will help you make and deliver meals to customers promptly.

The Senior Chef role includes:
*Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes
*Creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
*Assisting with the management of health and safety
*Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
*Managing and training any trainees
*Monitoring portion and waste control
*Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
*Ensure all areas of the kitchen and storage areas are clean ready for use.
*Coordinate food purchasing, budgeting and planning operations with other staff members
*Inspect cooking equipment, supplies, work areas and ingredients to ensure constant conformance to regulatory standards.
Hours:
The position is contracted as 40 hours per week, 5/7 days, daytime shifts from 8am - 4pm. It also offers the advantage of having one weekend day off every week and 2 consecutive days off together.
